Bettina Chlond participated in the 11th edition of the FSR Conference organized by the European University Institute in Florence, taking place on 2 to 3 December, 2025. She presented a paper about how subsidies shaped the adoption of heat pumps in Germany.

Bettina Chlond presented the paper Affording to pay attention? Energy cost in low-income households' investment decision at the Junior Workshop for Consumer Research on November 11 and 12, 2025, in Berlin and won the Michael Schuhen Award for the best paper, awarded by the German Federal Ministry for Justice and Consumer Protection.
